Unfortunately, most good Ling spots in those areas are either closed to fishing, or subject to dangerous currents.

So far the only luck I've had catching lings in the Puget Sound was in the San Juans.

I took my kayak out tovarea 9 saturday. It was pretty intense. Posession point is one of the best spots in puget sound to get ling. Hat island aka gedney as well.

If you can't make it to Possession, Hat Island is a 5 mile trip. I have done it and it is a a little jaunt, but fun. Let me know if you or anyone wants to hit Hat sometime  ;D

I went out the other day off the slag pile for lings and just caught flounder. I tried two jigs: one white and one purple and I tried whole herring. The lady down at the boathouse told me that a couple legal sized lings came from the slag pile and off of Ruston. The tides have been a real bitch lately though...
