Just a bump to see if we can find a couple more to go on the July trip with Sailfish and Cabeza de Martillo.  It's getting a little late to fill that date, so if we can't find a couple people soon, we'll have to cancel.

Had to cancel the July date as there was not enough to fill the boat.  Now concentrating on the Sept 21-28 date.  Any more interest in this date?

No kidding.  I figure it's a 750 mile round trip for me and that works out to around $215 at $4/gal with my truck.  It would take 2800 miles, at 14mpg and $4/gal to get to $800 in fuel.

Last year it was over $500 and i think gas prices will be up this year (I hope not).

Your $800 gas bill for a coastal run is making La Paz look cheap.  Thanks!

How many miles was that?  IIRC you took a fairly circuitous route.  In my truck that would still take around 1800 miles and $4/gal to rack up such a fuel bill.  But Baker City to Chinook Bend is only 400 miles each way.  Did you really drive an extra 1000 miles with your other stops?  I'd easily believe an extra 200 miles, so 1000 miles total for the trip.  Or does your vehicle get only 8mpg?

Alright, enough of Justin's fuel bill.  I have 2 committed now, and one more than just needs to clear it with his wife.  Once 3 are committed, this trip is a go.  That would leave one more spot, so if you're on the fence about this trip, get on it, as the 4th spot may not last long.
