I don't know if this is the kind of thing that interests you NWKA guys but I thought I post it up just in case.

UPDATED REGISTRATION INFORMATION BELOW

OK, here we go. Short notice I know, but I just had to do it this year hopefully before the weather gets to nasty.

The theme of the tournament is simplicity... old school kayak fishing. Nothin' fancy, just the angler and his/her gear, testing their skills.

To that end I am gonna level the playing field by limiting each angler to one rod and reel and three lures (provided), everybody fishes the same three lures, no bait, no scents.  No mechanized propulsion systems, no fish finders, no GPS, just a kayak, a paddle, landing gear and safety equipment.

The tournament will be held on Saturday November 9th at a location on the Sonoma Coast to be announced three days prior to the event. Weigh in will be at high noon  :cowboy_cool:

This is a winner take all cash prize, up to $600 for tax reasons. All after cost proceeds go towards the grand prize. If we exceed $600 (doubtful) the balance will be split 60/40 between second and third place. Single biggest (by weight) lingcod wins the tournament, If by some strange circumstance no lingcod are caught, then it's biggest single rockfish. All DFG rules and regs will apply.

There will also be a raffle of donated prizes from various manufacturers/sponsors. More on that later. Every entrant gets a raffle ticket, additional raffle tickets are avail on site for $5 each. You must be present to win. All onsite ticket proceeds benefit Marv/Shicken to help support his battle against cancer.

Entry is $20.
