ok im curious... read the aoty rules and have some questions... if you wanted to submit a limit of something say 4 pinks would each fish count towards your total points or just the largest?  do the fish submitted have to be retained or can they be photographed then released?  thinking of entering either as a late entry this year or possibly next year so just wana understand the thing before I do ya know...

only the largest fish would be points... it isn't about the quantity, but the size. I would add that the ability for the admins to be able to clearly see the length of the fish against your measuring device is very important... also the mouth open thing, make sure it is closed. Fish can be released, but you must be ABLE to legally retain them if you want the points.  I think you will find that most fish are hard to get a good photo of if the are still alive.

Only the single largest fish counts towards AOTY.
As long as the season is open and the fish was caught in accordance AOTY rules, you can photography and release.
