There is a tiny little launch just south of the bridge on the east side. You will have to lay your rods flat to get under the bridge and you will want to hug the shore yo avoid being a target for everyone on the bridge.

Isn't it a bit early to fish there?

It's never too early to scout launch sites.   ;D  I should probably make a bit of a sight seeing trip myself in advance of the season since I know there have been some developments park wise since the last humpy season.

As far as I know, there's only one Seattle city park with access to the Duwamish.  If I understand the regulations right, its upstream from the 1st avenue bridge so you can fish the river rather than the marine area.  http://www.seattle.gov/parks/park_detail.asp?ID=705

However, the Port of Seattle has a bunch of public boat launches available on the waterway that aren't well advertised.  I've attached a PDF of a document that's kind of buried on their web page.  I last made the rounds checking out launch sites two years ago, and the quality was pretty variable.  At least one of the parks was undergoing renovations so I should check them out again.

PS.  Now that ORC is done, is there going to be additional info about the humpy derby in August?  I've tried throwing money at the screen but it isn't letting me register.

I've used Jack Perry before.  You have to carry over some rocks, but it's manageable.

Thanks for the PDF! Any others you've found for all the boat launches, kayak launchable beaches along the East side of Puget Sound?

I'd like to catch a Salmon in the Sound this summer.  At least one :)

Here's a few for you.
http://wwta.org/cascade-marine-trail-map/

And here's a few more in Seattle.
http://www.seattle.gov/parks/boats/boatingmapsall.htm

I haven't had a chance to vet all of the beaches yet, but a few of my favorites around Seattle that aren't heavily used include 32nd Ave. West Boat Launch (a bit hard to find, but off-street parking) and Cormorant Cove (Only on street parking available, but less traffic than Alki itself).

In addition to the launch sites on that second map, I've also launched from the Emma Schmitz Memorial Overlook.  It's the closest park to the Alki fishing reef, but is a pretty marginal launch site, IMO.  Lots of stairs involved.

As for the Port parks on the Duwamish that I can remember off the top of my head, Jack Perry is rocky but has a nice lot close to the launch site.  However, it's hard to find and I don't know if the construction on 99 has let up in the area at all.

Terminal 18 Public Access Park on Harbor Island is similar in that it is rocky but manageable, but there are only a handful of parking spots available (that's not to say it was busy when I scouted it, but I don't know if people would be there when pinks were running).

Diagonal Avenue South Public Access isn't bad.  Big parking lot there, no rocks, but a considerable dropoff that you have to navigate to get to the water.

Pubic Access at Terminal 105 was closed 2 years ago.  If its open again I have high hopes.

I'm also excited that the MA10 salmon season opens up properly today.  I'd like to get out at golden gardens either Saturday or next weekend, depending on when I can find some time.
