When I exchanged my 11 for the AI on the way back from ORC, they said you were gonna pick up the other AI they had... changed your mind eh?

I think if I had got the 13 instead of the 11 in the first place, would have been a totally different experience.  Grats :)
Damn, you went from the revo11 to the AI?! You so crazy! That is quite the upgrade.

Yeah, it was rather comical trying to haul it down to the lake - with sidekicks -
in one trip. But if I knew I'd want to eventually, so since Next Adventure was offering the upgrade, had to jump.

That is an awesome upgrade. I can't say that I wouldn't be tempted to do the same.

Today was the maiden voyage of the Revolution 13 on Hagg lake.  I forgot how easy it is to carry it above my head with the 2 firm handles and it’s a nice touch with the soft foam the put on it. The kayak felt balanced both front to back and side to side.  While on the water I started to pedal and thought to myself “wow there is barely any water resistance!”  Now this is with standard fins.  There is not as much leg space for your boys between your legs in the Revo as it is narrower, but is much easier to throw your legs over each side of the kayak and fish.  I know the Outback is very stable on the water, so I wanted to try and stand up in this kayak. I was successful for about 5 minutes, casting a big hammer toward shore trying to catch bass.  Then some waves came and almost knocked me out of the kayak.  Sitting down I had no problem dealing with the wake from all of the ski boats.  I did notice that the Revo cut through the wake a lot better then the outback, as the outback would go up and down with the wake and slap the surface causing lots of splashing.  Also I noticed that my rudder didnt want to stay down unless I cleeted it. I will need to look into why.

I am enjoying the Revo 13, but will still use the Outback for the ocean!  I am very comfortable with the outback in waves and swells. Plus it is rigged how I like it.  Both are great kayaks and would not give either of them up (unless the wife wants to use one of them).  Hobie makes great products and each kayak seems to be slightly different to target certain people.

Sounds like you have a winner John,

Now the "real" question---did you hook any fish at Hagg ?

Grats again on your win. Well done sir.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Very common with the Revo from what I've found. For some reason it easily pops up unless you have it cleated. I just live with it.
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

Nope, too many power boats buzzing close by.  They were going in the no wake zone, so I went back to shore and picked up my friends son and took him in a cove and cruised around.

Ok thanks for letting me know before I start tinkering with it.

Gratz, blue. Nice boat. Early bird gets the Hagg bass on sunny summer days.
