Hello from Humboldt

I finally got around to getting reliable internet so i finally joined! I love to hunt and fish and due to my work schedule i fish by myself alot so i decided to pick up kayak fishing 2 years ago and i havent looked back since. I have stuck to freshwater fishing due to the size of my previous yak but i bought polepoles ultra 4.3 so i can go fish the big blue     I cant wait to meet all the awesome people on the forum.

Hello from Crescent City. I've been fishing out of multiple kayaks for about 25 years now. I derive much more pleasure from fishing and catching from a yak than out of motor boats. Yes, it's addicting. I just ran into a guy that moved up to CC from Arcata that said he'd caught quite a few halibut in Humboldt Bay. Good luck to you.

Yea theres good halibut fishing along with leopard shark if your ever down this way  They make really good jerky. an old timer showed me how to process and smoke them and they are awesome!
