Tuna - Live Bait in Oregon??

A good friend of mine wants to go on a tuna charter with me out of Newport in the next year or so.  Having had a pretty darn good time live bait fishing out of Westport, I'm wondering if there's any live bait options in Newport or elsewhere in Oregon.  I know Ilwaco on the WA side of the CR has live bait, but I've heard the Astoria based charters generally won't make the run over to Ilwaco to get live bait.

Only reason I can think of as to why Newport is that the charter fees are lower than in Westport and his mom might be able to join us (his folks live in Independance).  Knowing his mom though, I'm not sure she's physically capable of a tuna charter, especially if the bite is really good.  I'd be surprised if she was able to bring in one albacore all by herself.  If there was a good bite going I'd be very shocked if she could keep up.  It's not just physical strength but also the agility to quickly maneuver around the boat that I'd be concerned with.

Combine that with the higher cost of getting to Newport vs Westport likely using up any savings on the charter fees, and the seeming unavailablity of live bait and I'm going to try to convince him to stay up in WA.  But, if I'm wrong on the live bait issue it might be possible for him to persuade me to head to OR anyway.

Looks like Garibaldi at least occasionally has live bait available.

I cant recall 100%, but i'm pretty sure the bait in Garibaldi is trucked in from Ilwaco.  and they are at the mercy of ilwaco's supply.
