Nice maiden voyage

Well I did get out on the water.  I went to the Narrows Park and went from under the bridge just about to Point Fosdic and just focused on that water (back and forth).  I pulled a spoon, (cop car) a wiggle wart (two different colors on two different routes) and a coho killer on the last trip.  The wind started picking up which made trolling one direction effortless, but tougher the other direction.  I got on the water around 12:30 -1 and fished until 5, so I got most of the incoming tide. 4 hours of constant paddling and I am not too sore today.  Fish on the screen but none rolling or jumping.  I should have thrown something pink on to redeem the day but had my heart set on a coho.

The Wavewalk was awesome. It was a freeway out there as a lot of boats were headed home.  It really gave a good test for how it does in swell, chop and dealing with wakes.  I was very comfortable and stable.  The fish finder worked great.  I used duct seal and installed the transducer on the inside with a little well for water so it shoots through the hull.  Worked perfectly.  Need to adjust my rod holder by getting an extension arm.  I was having to move too far forward in the Yak to get to the pole.

Great day on the water.  I think I am going to have to hit Browns point before all the pinks are gone just so I can get a feel for fighting a salmon in a yak.

I am going to browns point again for pinks tomorrow morning @ 6am till around 2pm, i caught 3 again yesterday all around 8 to 10 lbs and wouldn't mind some company, if you choose to go i will be in the hobie outback  (yellow) if not gl and happy fishing brotha

Slammed at work and I will not be able to get out again until Sunday.  Thanks for the invite.   When you fish there where do you park and launch?  I have heard that parking can be a pain.

I park near the main gate there, I just huff down the Kayak to the boat launch area near the lighthouse, once i get out i like to stay around the houses near the point, i have had alot of success in that area the past 3 times i have went.
