The 4k recording, as implemented, is a gimmick, but the rest of the record modes seem solid. (What I mean is that 15fps is kind of a joke for anything but "hey check out this 4k footage I shot!")

Ambarella's latest chip, announced at the beginning of the year, supports 4K at 30 fps.  It also does 720p at 240 fps.  Imagine the slomo you can do with that!  I'd expect to see this stuff in the next gen of GoPro's.

Sweet! I had a camera a while back that would do 240fps at 640x480. Lame resolution, but still really fun stuff. My kids loved it. Doing HD at 240fps should lead to some interesting footage!
