Looking to glean information about down rigging from my kayak. I already have all the bits and pieces just looking to keep the cockpit clean and get at fish running about 40 - 60 feet deep.

I have two lakes within 30 mins drive for that purpose. I have seen some fine hybrid bass coming from at depth from power boats trolling. I should be able to get into that bit of fishing.

Bought a pair of 2012 WS Ride 135. Wife and I fish every chance we get. I tend to research and try thing differently. Thanks for your time.

Welcome!

Lots of great info here.  There are some great posts from people who have tried different methods and means.  I'm lazy so I just bolted a base into my kayak since I don't use the milk crates that everyone else seems to use.  They take up too much space that I need to keep all the fish!!

Here's my setups.
