Have to brag a little for my wife - it was her second halibut on our recent trip to Prince of Wales Island. This one was about 25lbs, but her first one was about 40-50lbs, and I cut the line with my knife while trying to cut the gill rakers and it slowly swam away!!!
My marriage survives, but we now have a harpoon and buoy on board just for that occasion.
