I'll be down in Yucatan in late March and I want to fish for bones, permit, snook, and juvenile tarpon. Obviously I can pay guides - and probably will - but would like to do most of my fishing on my own.

Has anyone fished around Xcalak or Mahahual or anywhere's on the Yucatan. Has anyone fished for Baby tarpon around Campeche?

Anyways, let me know and if there are any footloose retirees around I could save a pile of money by sharing rooms and guide fees with that person.

Anyways, let me know what you know. Thanks    Jaduman

Caught barracuda off Isla Mujeres--anything shiny will work.  Sorry I can't be more helpful.
