I started at PC last year and did 6 (7? now I can't remember) trips and have gotten no tickets. I started putting a sign on my dash after the second trip based on recommendations here.

I have, however, been stopped by the police almost every single time I pull my vehicle down to pick up my kayak. I just roll my window down and point at my kayak and that's usually all it takes.

Anyway it's all been said before, but seriously beware the soft sand, and if you do park on the beach, know that you will probably have to pull out forward (towards the dune) into the soft sand, because the dory folks love to park behind cars with no trailers for some reason, even if you're in the row with everyone else.

You're not staying out on the water long enough.   ;)
