Hello, my name is Paul, I am new to this forum, I have been Kayak fishing for several years mostly in Alabama, moved to Alaska 3 years ago and have been doing mostly freshwater paddle fishing, looking to get into some saltwater now.  Cheers!

Welcome Paul!  Good to see another member on the forum living in Alaska.  We have probably a half dozen or so regulars here and a few more that hop on from time to time.  I will say that despite the hundreds of kayakers I run into here in Alaska on the water, I think I have only run into two other kayakers fishing while on the water who were not part of this group.  So while Alaska is a fishing crazy and kayak crazy state, very very few folks fish out of their kayaks.  So in a way, we are all new to this for the most part with a few exceptions.

Lots of good info on this forum under the Alaska section.  I've take a little bit of time to create some websites that addresses what I do here in Alaska from a kayak.  I am by no means an expert.  Been fishing out of kayak for 4 maybe 5 years, and only 3 of them here in Alaska after I moved back.  I pretty much learned everything I know from this forum and its a super cool bunch of folks.

If you like, take a look at the Alaska section of this forum and also the following sites of mine that address my personal fishing.  And despite some of the URL's I am not a guide.  Welcome to the board!!!

Hi Paul -- nice to meet you on the forum. It'll be nice to meet you on the water later this year. Never too soon to start filling in the fishing calendar for the coming season.  After 25 years of freshwater fishing here, I began kayak fishing and plying saltwater in 2012 -- so very new. Now, a major addiction must be fed... Can't wait.
