hmmm.. That Revo is tempting... What does a Turbo Mirage Drive go for that would fit that. I have no idea.... Can you even get the older drives new?

I'm pretty sure you just have to remove the plastic pin on the newer drives for them to fit the older hulls.

The new drives have a centering pin that is supposed to help you install the drive. You can easily remove this pin to use on an older style Hobie. I have used mine in an Oasis. I left the pin out because I dont like it.

They are  525-560 depending on which fins they come with...Like the other guys said, you can take the plastic pin out of the newer drive and use t in the older boats, didn't think of that earlier...

Great!

Do/did the older Revos suffer the same drivewell crack problems as the Outback? If I remember correctly if its an '06 or newer it should be OK...I think Im going to pull the trigger on this one if its still available. That would make it a $1200 Revo, but it looks like it doesn't have a seat either. Perhaps that might be another good negotiating point.

If it is an older model and develops a crack I wonder if Hobie will stand behind it... Seems like everyone else that has been in that situation has come out of it with a brand new hull! I don't know if their generosity applies to the original owners or applies to second hand or resold units.

Thanks for the lead Roy!
