My Outback developed a drive well crack and was replaced under warranty. I decided to have them send me a new Revo 13 instead of an outback. It arrived on monday and I took it out yesterday for the first time.
I launched from my house in Charleston and fished along the jetty for a bit and then went to my usual perch spot. Fishing was pretty good. I was using sand shrimp and caught around a dozen perch, a couple greenling, 1 good sized black, and 3 Monkey Faced Eels, in about 2 hours. I have fished this area probably a hundred times before, and had never caught an eel until yesterday. It was quite a surprise and they put up a good fight on light tackle. I took 2 of them home and cooked them up and they were very good. Biggest one was just under 25 inches.  :)

Nice! Sweet ride!  8)  I think it's a sign.  You should name it monkeyfaced.

Good thinking! I didnt consider there might be some connection between the eels and the new boat. Hopefully the phenomenon continues.  :)

Congrats on the new yak.  Glad to hear the fishing was good too.  Hopefully the ocean will lay down soon so we can get out for some good fishing.

Nice haul. I like how your cat is eyeing the catch.

Nice dude!!

If you're catching monkeys on hook and line without poke poling, there must be a ton of them down there...you should dive down and check it out!!

Sincerely,

Jim
