I know Brad's been using this fishing pole for a long time but I finally put it to the test this weekend... I have to agree these little noodle rods work great for freshwater trolling. That noodle tip had me in doubt with respect to it's ability to land fish over 2lbs. It definitely didn't disappoint me and it has ample backbone to land something larger than a kokanee. I noticed that Lamiglas doesn't list this rod on their website any more. Maybe I will buy up another one for my kid before we do some more walleye fishing in the coming weeks. I figured I'd just pass along my experience.. My setup is an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur S 5501, the Jared Johnson Kokanee rod from Lamiglas, 12 lb test lead core and a Willis knot to attach a top shot of 20 feet , 10 lb test monofilament. I heard Outdoor Emporium is having a sale on them for 49$  :banjo:

Great rod. I love mine. I use it as a downrigger rod for Kokanee. It's perfect for those soft monthed little punks. I'm curious how it will handle a coho. I know a power boater who runs mini mags on then for fall coho and he says it's a kick in the pants.

Can't beat the $49 sale price (retail for $75).  I use mine for trolling trout, bass and kokes.  I picked up a second one yesterday at OE.  Great combo with Abu Garcia reel and lead core.

Is Outdoor Emporium a WA store?  I looked on the website and these rods were not on sale, just listed at the $79 price.  Where to go??  Does one need a membership to purchase at the discounted price?  "one" would like to know these answers.  ThankX.

I couldn't find any sale on the web. I doubt you have to be a member to get the sale price. As far as I know they only have two stores. One is down by Fife and the other in Seattle.
