mooching rod

Wondering what to look for in terms of a mooching rod... i have a 8'6" 10-20 DR rod and wondering if thatd work i also have a 9' H shimano clarus rod i use for jigging... never done much mooching so dont know what makes a good rod for the application... and suggestions are appreciated.

I think one of those should work. I like 8'6" or 9' medium-heavy fast action rods for mooching.
