For those of you who missed Saturday's event or who just want to head out with someone I will be fishing Sellwood on Tuesday afternoon.   If you see me in the parking lot or on the water feel free to ask ask me any salmon or kayak fishing questions.  I plan on getting there around 3:30 and fishing just upstream of the bridge until 7 or so.

I will be out on the Willy Tuesday but will be with my dad in his PB.  I've got the gear to fish from my yak except the most crucial piece, a fish finder (I'm working on it, slowly lol).  But I need to get out before it becomes a zoo, and it gives me an opportunity to spend time with the old man :).  If I see you I'll say hello, we'll be in a black willie predator.  Good luck!

My input from today and yesterday:

Just got back from watching the river around the Marquam Bridge. Water seems much more green than brown and clearing up nicely.  Four-ish boats working the Marquam to Hawthorne with about all of them working both the reefs and deep water.  No bites from anyone after watching for about 40 min.  People seem to be searching for fish.  There was also about six boats working the Ross Island Bridge reef and no bites from any of them either.

I fished the Hawthorne area yesterday evening with about three or four boats and didn't see anything happen.  The fish checker at Willamette Park yesterday had zero fish for about 20 boats by about 1pm.  So yeah, slow.  But he said on Saturday there was about 15 fish for about 40 boats.

a nice shot of fish must be on the way toward the Portland area.  I had one miss today, and saw another 4 fish hooked up from PB's anchored up here by Clatskanie.  water is looking great down here on the lower Col.

I nominate that for a fresh front-page pic. Yak, angler, salmon. Good stuff.
