My Propel should be here by the end of the month and I'm already coming up with a cheaper and removable version of a rudder extension.  The picture is self explanatory, the only part that isn't drawn is the camlock with a keeper ring for the rope with a small handle that would be placed behind your shoulder on the kayak deck. Just checking if anyone has done something similar or if you have any constructive criticism on my design

While looking at hammock stands I came across this after market rudder for the propel kayaks:



It's the only kayak product they sell, but it appears to be longer than the stock rudder.  Not removable like your design but might serve to enhance the rudder performance too.

I saw those and another one that just bolts on, but I want something that can stow for loading. I forgot to draw the springs on my picture that pull it down too.
