JamesC and I trolled about 3 hours on Sunday with no love given by any springers. Several PBs were in the area and they were skunked too.

Thanks to whoever it was that stopped and chatted from the bank. I should have figured you out by your list of boats - Revo, PA12, and Outback, but I haven't. Anyway, your suggestion of pushing my Oasis up the hill instead of pulling it was right on. It was much easier.

Tried out a herring helmet for the first time - I liked it. Good spin and longer life. Not necessarily easier to rig, but not a lot harder either. I'm also liking using a LongLiner for hanging my weights.

I defected to a PB on sunday and got a nice 20 pounder!  I was really bummed to miss the Saturday "clinic" and miss the opportunity for kayaking.  Saw a few kayakers out there at GRPark...was wishing all kinds of good juju.  I was dragging a herring with a helmet for a while, but switched to cured prawn with a small spinner to trick a salmon.  I think it's just a matter of putting bait in front of a fish.  Water clarity wasn't superb (10 on turbidity scale), so it keeps getting better.  Looking forward to seeing lots of positive catching reports.  I'll be back at the game after tax day.

I believe that was me with the push up onstead of pull up tip.  I learned that last year with my pro angler.  Way easier.  Ill have to try it with the outback!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain
