Admiralty Inlet/Bay Halibut Inquiry

I'm thinking of targeting it for halibut in the near future, but i'm concerned about current. There's no way I'll be able to fish in currents approaching 4kts, which is what this website says, (http://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/get_predc.shtml?year=2014&stn=6030+Admiralty%20Inlet).

I realize the current will be stronger in the inlet, but what about the bay itself? So, if anyone who's been in  bay itself before and can provide first-hand knowledge of what the current will be like inside would be greatly appreciated.

I just google mapped Admiralty Inlet. It sits between Useless and Skunk Bays. Both of those sound very promising!

Nearly, but not quite swept away.  If you can stay south of the ferry dock, and in the bay it isn't soooo bad.  But be wary, and respect the currents.  Know your capabilities and if currents start to get anywhere close to your limits reel up an GTFO.

yup. i'll stick to mutiny this weekend, then, esp'y since it looks like i'll be going solo. thank you for the advice.
