I have no problem standing in my PA12...with the H-Bar.

Pa 14 has more living space and a higher weight rating.  I also find it handles better (note I didn't say great) in wind. The 12 is more nimble and a bit lighter. At 6' 245# they're both easy to stand on, though for my money I'd go 14 just for the extra room.

One thing I like about my 12 is that I can haul it in the bed of my pickup (6.75' bed) with no bed extender.  With a 14, I'd probably feel compelled to get a trailer, or at least a bed extender.

You asked about standing earlier.  While the 14 may be more stable, I can easily stand and cast in my 12 (I don't have the H-Bar).  It's plenty stable for my needs, although I just pay attention and sit if a wake is coming..

My only negative with my PA12 is that it doesn't like to hold a straight line.   The steering is very sensitive and you pretty much have to keep your hand on the rudder control constantly if you're peddling.   I haven't tried the 14 but I would guess it tracks a bit better due to the length.

For the $100 price difference, the PA-14 is a "steal".....I love my PA-14!
I recently added the larger rudder and it does turn a bit quicker now......never really had an issue with the original rudder, but I use a down rigger quite often and the tracking is improved with the larger rudder.

Saw one live for the first time last week...Sweet Jebus what a sweet boat.  Notice I said boat.  They are both freaking huge...Pictures didn't do those things justice.
