Already back in Central Oregon. Managed to sneak in 2 hours of fishing this a.m. After the fog lifted. 9 Rockies is all I managed. Ocean was a bit disjointed this morning but was a lake by the time I came in.  A few photos...

Some morning pea soup delayed my launch. Allowed for a second cup of coffee...

It was almost nine before the fog lifted enough for a launch.  Made the rock in short order and my first hookup was a double.

Picked up a couple more singles and another double...

Things slowed for a bit before I repositioned and had a little flurry of hook ups before ending the trip.

Headed to the beach about 11. Landed behind a series of 1-2 footers. Rough seas!

A little safety note. Apparently, the sea lion I mentioned in a previous post doesn't like kayaks. Today he followed me for a bit then dove out of sight. He then chatted with me at close range, barking at my yak at about 10 feet. He's SUV sized and made my Fish N Dive look small. 😳 Nicole the ODFW fish checker told me he also doesn't like dories...

Anyways, a good end to a nice trip. Good beer, no hulis, only 2 jigs donated to the sea. 70-75 degree weather. Couldn't ask for better.

If you look in the distance on this shot you'll see a boat. Watched a guy and his teenage son launch their 15 ft drift boat off the beach. No life jackets visible, shorts and t's. Ug!

Looks like a fun trip out. I've had an encounter with that same sea lion. He has bad breath!
