Wanted to really test the size/weight limit of the PA14. NWnoob, Lee, and I decided to do a little crabbing/spearing and all piled in the PA. She took on a little water, but was plenty stable for us since we have a clue. Noobs need not apply!

Looks like you guys were having fun. How did the spearing go? Looks like freediving, how deep is it out there and what kind of game?

Always great times! We're in the south sound, so not a ton of separable game. They opened crab in MA13 June 1st, and that's typically our primary target. We do run into some nice perch occasionally though, and those guys are fair game! Fun to shoot too because they're small and hard to keep in range long enough to get off a shot. We're typically between 15-30'. Limits of both dungie and rock crab come pretty easy most days. The perch are a bit tougher...

PA's are amazing that way. They are like aircraft carriers!

Still plenty of freeboard there.  Next time go for four, but get the video rolling before you add that last guy.

Four would definitely not work.  We added the weight of the crabs to the front hatch for the return trip, and when we got back, there was a LOT of water in the hull, and she had become REALLY unstable.
