Lindbergh Lake lake trout

On July 12 I caught three lake trout on Lindbergh Lake – 34.5”, 29”, and a smaller one.  I caught the big ones downrigger trolling, and the small one casting at the outlet.  The bad news is that lake trout have gobbled up all the kokanee in Lindbergh Lake.  The good news is that lake trout from Lindbergh Lake have bright orange flesh and are particularly tasty.

Very nice!  I'm thinking about trying to figure out the lake trout fishery around my area.  I think I'll probably have ot go to eastern WA for the most part, but several lakes have big populations.  Lake Chelan has, I think, no size or bag limit on them as they're doing a lot of damage to the native landlocked Chinooks.
