In the summer, I like to clean fish outside by my driveway, so I can clean my cutting board and equipment up every couple of minutes with a hose.  It's very convenient to be able to spray all the guts and slime off onto the lawn.  I can't do that inside.  But setting up is a hassle.  I have to collect all the gear, haul it out to the driveway, and set it up.  I'd like to make some kind of rolling fish cleaning station which contains everything I need to clean fish, which I can grab and roll out onto the driveway.  I'm looking for ideas for convenient and efficient fish cleaning stations.  If you have developed one, please post pictures.  In some parts of the country you could mount a fish cleaning station on the side of your house, but in Montana, such a cleaning station could attract bears.  I want to make a portable station which I can store in my garage.

I got this one down.  8)

I suspend a cutting board across the tub in the hall bathroom.  Hop in wearing my Speedo and Kevlar gloves.
When I'm done, there's fish scales on the ceiling, fresh filets stacked nicely on the toilet seat, and all the guts and carcasses in the garbage can.

However, I do get a bit jumpy when my knife slips off the cutting board.    :o

I was able to convert an old porch into an enclosed (kick wall with screen above) cleaning station...but if I needed a portable one I would start with one of these folding tables (Cabela's has it for $79), add wheels to one end, a shelf across the leg supports with storage drawers mounted on it, and a hose quick connect.  cheers, roger

I have the table that Rogerdodger posted. I just grab that and a fish four the fillets.  Going to the back deck the dish has knives, coming back in, wife grabs dish full of fillets and usually leave the table sitting there to dry

I use a Costco folding plastic table and keep my fillet knives in an aluminum scabbard. I take it fishing with me and fillet before I come home.

My other fillet station is a little less portable....

I have a table that slides out from underneath my deck. You can see the gutter on the side I stand on as well as the slots for my knives on the left. The arm clamp on the right I use with a couple of plastic carpenter clamps to hold the tail I'm filleting.

When I'm done with I slide it back using this simple slide made of 2 x 4.

Here it is all tucked away. We have bears within 100 metres of our place so I give it a good scrub before putting it away and have had no problems.

I like Insayn's solution tho--it gets the best marks for humour.

For what it's worth, a Costco table will be my next fish board.  The Cabelas table has those channels around the edge that make it a pain in the ass to remove skin

I'm like Pete. Hose, bucket, picnic table, and lawn. Big stuff goes in the composter and night creatures clean up the lawn. I do have a big maple cutting board I glued up for this purpose.

I actually have a similar set up to Bill, except I got the smaller table that doesn't fold in the middle.  Maybe if I ever catch a fish the size of what Bill regularly conjures from the depths I'll get the larger table.

Someday I hope to catch enough fish on a weekly basis so I would have to set up a cleaning station. :-)

Actually I have a few ways I go about it.

Trout, panfish, etc...
In the garage, I set a 4 gallon milk crate in my sink tub and then put a 15" by 20" white cutting board on it.  I can keep water running over the table to rinse the goo off as I go.

Rockfish, Ling, Cabs, etc....
I use a 24" x 48" x 1/2" Seaboard cutting board on my trailer tailgate, picnic table, or other flat surface.
This is thoroughly cleaned, bleached, sun dried and stored under the mattress of my Yak-A-Haul-It trailer tent.

Any fish and more portable.....
Recently picked up a 1/2" mat made from recycled rubber from Hoggs that is something like 12" or 13" x about 30" to 35" (It's buried in my trailer at the moment).  It can contort or roll to fit inside the kayak for use anywhere.  The cool thing is that it really keeps fish from moving around with it's grippy texture.

I use this or the kitchen counter. My girlfriend hates when I use the counter  >:D

It's just an old gardening table. I keep a bucket for dumping carcs. The raccoons seem to only like the salmon carcs though.

" The raccoons seem to only like the salmon carcs though." I have a forested park directly behind my place with a meadow on which I dump the carcasses. The aerial patrol spots them within 10 minutes--either ravens or turkey vultures and once in awhile the eagles come an kick everybody else off the scene--a definite pecking order. My neighbor spots me carrying the bucket out to the meadow and cracks, "Off to feed your "kids" again, huh?"
