I was wondering if anyone here has this catch bag?
http://www.surftosummit.com/s2s-insulated-fish-bag-p-1966.html?cPath=313_318
I just ordered a few for the shop and I'm thinking about nabbing one for myself. The 43 inch model seems huge but I know the 24 inch model is not going to handle any salmon.
I'm just curious if you're happy with this bag if you've got it?
Let me know!

I have used them for several years and have found that they fall apart within the first year of use. Granted, I am in
Hawaii and I assume the constant UV has something to do with it, but they certainly do not hold up in this environment.
S to S did refund my money on the second bag but would not replace it. The only thing troublesome is that they were
not the least bit interested in why the bags were failing. I even offered to send one back (at my cost) and they declined.
The top fabric is coated with some material that comes off in sheets leaving a open web like weave. The insulating foam
is very thin and does not hold ice for any period of time. With time, the stitching also fails.
In short, for the occasional user they may be ok if washed and put away after every use. If you are looking for a very
well insulated sturdy bag I would take a look at Sea Angler bags......they are outstanding.

Thanks for the quick review. The bags don't appear to have that coating that you mentioned. I noticed that what I'm looking at in person looks different from what is pictured on the site.

Sorry, I did not make it clear in the post. The coating is on the inside of the exterior material. You don't
really see it until the bag fails. The inside coating falls off and accumulates between the outer mesh and the
plastic insulation. The interior lining material is however very sturdy and washable and stands up to the toothy
creatures we catch here. I may still have some pics of a failed bag.

I don't know the Surf to Summit bags that well, but I got to take a look at the new Ice Mule bags at ORC this year. They appeared to have the best construction I've seen in a kayak specific fish bag.
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

I've got the big one, and like it a lot. Been stuffing and abusing it for roughly 4 years. The zipper could be better, but that's my only gripe to date

The ice Mule fish bags have good construction and are well insulated, but I don't like end-loading fish bags.  I've been trying to persuade the Ice Mule guys to manufacture a line of top-loading duffle-style fish bags.  Such bags could be the best kayak fish bags available.  Contact the Ice Mule guys and ask them to construct such bags!

I've seen it! It's super cool. I like this S2S bag. I just wish it wasn't so bulky.

I 've got the bigger one and like it a lot. Use blue ice and toss the gell packs that come with in. Mine leans to one side. I should add a tent hoop to make it nice and round. Fits perfectly on the bow.
