Hello everyone,

Looking forward to learning, contributing, and meeting some of you out there in the near future.

Last year (2013) during Pink Salmon season a fellow fisherman along the shoreline in Lincoln Park randomly asked me if I wanted a kayak - surprised by the question I said Yes. Same day I picked up this inflatable from his garage and went crabbing with it with success. Fast forward to today, a more angler specific kayak has been acquired and paid forward the free kayak to another happy individual.

It's definitely been a fun and challenging ride so far - learning a lot from others and experiences gained from adventures on the water.
Most recent and memorable outings have come out of beautiful Baker Lake - being on a kayak low to the water my first attempt on Sockeye were both exciting and comical after acrobatic jumps that ended with the fish squaring me in the face and snapping the leader line in the process. Bracing and ready to hug the next fish that tries to jump towards the kayak , I managed to net and bring home a bright Sockeye the following morning. Three trips later, I invited a friend and the nice gentleman who gave me the kayak to Baker Lake and he was rewarded handsomely with two. (some photos attached from Baker Lake)

Slowly expanding the scope and familiarizing with the Sound today...
