I'm excited about this forum. I'm brand new to kayak fishing and looking at making my first kayak purchase once the 2015 Hobie kayaks are introduced in early September.  I am looking at the 2015 Pro Anglers and the 2015 Mirage Outback.

I'll be mostly fishing on lakes (Stevens, Silver, Martha, Roesiger, Washington) and once I'm comfortable & confident, on Puget Sound, Hood Canal, etc.

Welcome! Maybe you can stop by and kick my brother (ferrous2) in the butt and get him to go out with you. He lives in Bothell, too.

Look seriously at the Revo13 instead. They are a nice compromise between the sleek Adventure and the tubby PA and Outback.

I agree.  I love my Pro Angler on the lakes and even the Columbia and Snake Rivers, but I would not take it in the salt.  The center of gravity is too high and it is too wide to do a surf landing.  +1 for the Revo13.

Another north Sound new guy here too.  Picked up a Native Slayer Propel over the summer and love it.  I've caught a lot of crabs from it, but no fish yet.  New to Salmon fishing (from fly fishing), so getting out on the water with some other folks would be great.  I'm in West Everett.
