First time out to Cascade Head today....ended the day 3-4 on coho.

The video shows how quickly things can turn around on you.  I really thought we were out of the danger zone and let my guard down.  I learned that keeping your attention at the incoming surf is probably more important than telling you buddy how much fun your having.  I think I'll post on the Safety Sake side as well.  I hope this video will help others....   FYI  surf was 4.5 @9 sec this AM..

Other than the dump,  great day out......

Tight lines......

I've always wanted to fish there, looks like a decent entry point.  I wonder how the bottom fishing is around there?  And nice video love the one hand salmon grab at the end.   That must have been one tired fish?

Good music, and yeah I never see people one-handing salmon.

Yeah, It really wasn't a bad entry spot at all.  Just have to avoid those rocks...HA HA.  We went out on a high tide and returned on the low slack.  It was a bit more technical coming back on the low tide at 5ft at 9 sec.  We had to stay to the south of that high spot.  The gap got really skinny on the North side of it.

Yea that fish was pretty tired... I had missed one earlier that was netted while it was still too hot!  This one I played for a while and it was a hatchery, so they tend to give up easier than the nates..
