Went out yesterday in hopes that more people would be out of town.  My mistake still decided to go for it. Headed out trolling from the launch out to 500 feet. Was marking fish in the 40 to 80 foot range.  Zigzag zagged around out there, the boat traffic was unreal waves from all directions and people not paying attention.  I decided a fish isn't worth my life. High tail wave ride towards the shore,  started marking small fish around the seaweed piles. So I decide just to toss small point Wilson. Hooked into a sea run cut about 12 14 inches, he hit The jig on the drop.. so I decided to just jig. Found a tide rip in close and fished around it. No coho, found a juvenile blackmouth though, small Guy about 18 inches fiesty.  After that it was all flounder and sculpin.  Red Irish.  Then I found a school of rockfish which was unexpected.  Caught a few of those.  Decided to call it a day, at this point I had a boat full of water. Can't wait for salmon to be in thick.  Talked to a Guy on a ocean kayak torque,  who had trolled from muk to shipwreck.  For nothing.  Looked comfortable though that boat can move! !!.
