There will be salmon throughout the entire system.  What part if the columbia do you want to fish?

Hey smilinkayaker.  Saw your post on ifish and wondered how long it'd take you to get here.

By the end of September, most of the salmon in the Columbia have already passed Bonneville Dam.  The upper mainstem will still be putting out fish, as will some of the tribs.  If you're looking for "fresh fish", you'll be focusing more on coastal estuaries or rivers.

There are a few of us that live on the coast if you're willing to travel a little farther.

End of September will still have a lot of coho coming into the Colombia River traveling to their spawning beds. Might not be too many kings but maybe there will be...... Oh crystal ball --- so cloudy.

Big difference between the two. Ocean might not be too hot because fish will be thinking of getting their nuts off by then. There will be some but it might be difficult to find them. It's big water out there.

Stay in touch as the time nears. You will be able to get out and have some company to help you figure it out. Hook ups are easy around here.
