Alright, so I went to Hobie Northwest this morning to test drive the Revo and the Adventure. Spent a little time on the lake messing around but truth is I was sold on the Adventure pretty quick. Got a nice deal on the demo that was on the wall, paid my money, put it on the car and headed home.

When I got home I pulled it off the car, put the wheels on and walked it down to the water. I figured I'd leave the fishing stuff at home and just paddle and pedal for a bit on the sound to get familiar with the boat and make the mistakes as harmless as possible.

On my way back to my take out I'm feeling pretty good. I'd covered a couple of miles, crawled around on the boat, took a couple pictures and had a great time. As I pass by a couple of young kids who were playing in the water I hear them start saying "The bus is leaving! The bus is leaving" and pointing at me. And I was feeling so good too.

Now I know it's not the fastest thing on the water, but a bus? Maybe I should have gotten the red one instead..............

Don't let it bother you man.  They may be ugly but yellow boats catch A LOT of fish.

Maybe they thought they saw the short bus pulling out and they were worried???   ???

Not to worry however. I drive/paddle a barge.  ;)

That was pretty funny, but your BigA is one of the fastest plastic SOT's available.

Like Jay said, I think they were probably upset as they thought they'd missed the short bus (again). ;D

Actually it pretty much is. Yellow is a great color as it's one of the most visible colors out there. I regularly go through shipping lanes and the confidence in knowing that boaters can see me is the most important. Plus Spot's not too far off.. they do pretty good.

Alright, I'll agree that the boat is fast and fish worthy. It's me that remains slow and fishless ;D.  Love the boat though.....

Yeah, they do pretty good... unless they have a banana in them to keep the keepers away.... In fact, the banana I slipped into Z's boat last Friday is doing a great job working it's magic; no AOTY points for him since then! Heck, I had to do something to stall his major (and at times, questionable ;)) move up the leader board. LOL! (Oh damn, now I sound like yessnoo - LOL! LOL!)  ;D

I don't think so - but I own a yellow OK.  Easy to see when you're in trouble (lets hope you don't ever need any help) unlike drab green or blue.  When you're that close to the water, around all those PB's, I like Hi-Viz yellow and orange.

What did you pay?  I just got my Social Sec Disability and thinking about a more "fishing" type of yak.
