Fun day in PC today.  Great conditions and it was nice to meet several NWKA folks. We had an impressive tupperware fleet out there.

I had a decent day, caught 9 or 10 or Blacks, a 32" Ling and one Sea Cucumber.  I lost one that I REALLY would have loved to see but it got into the rocks after a hard fight and I had to break it off.  Mostly bottom fishing but did spend an hour or so tolling with a Konezone and Herring - no Salmon love today.

My most colorful catch of the Day:

Uplandsandpiper looking for new species:

Mojo, taking a breather after netting Cabbyzilla:

Smooth sailing today:

Two spearo's east of the rock said 5ft visibility and 1ft in the krill. I posted my fish in a new thread.

Thanks for letting me know, appreciate it!

I had an excellent fishing trip at PC, and thanks for the ling assistance from 3Cr and Nbdays.  I will get a REAL fish club and the super-wazzoo lip gripper before heading out again.  The angling for me was great, got lucky again and again.  My best ling 29", 5 blacks, 1 cabby that was half the size of Mojo's, a gray whale off the right starboard at 100ft and closing :noteworthy:

Great meeting new people and just having fun enjoying the water at Cabo San Kiwanda!

Had a great time yesterday, nice meeting some new folks. The fish gods toyed with me and I ended up with only 3 fish landed. Lost fish on the hook-up, at the boat, mid fight, you name it.

My transducer cable finally gave away to corrosion and I was flying blind for most the day. Thanks to USP, Scott, Shannon, and BK for keeping me over structure.

Trolled for a few for salmon and had two take downs. Fished a flasher and a hootchie w/ herring oil. Ironically, the only salmon I saw was a little chinook that chased my swim bait all the way to my yak, bumped it, then swam away.

Ended the day with a crab pot with 9 keepers, so nice consolation price.

Someone asked about visibility. I'm not a diver but it seemed horrible to me... the water color and visibility were both off. There were pockets where it was clearer but around the rock specifically it was really bad.

Bright baits with some scent worked best for us. It was fairly slow but we knocked out a few fish.

Got out there early this morning and was able to luck into a 10-15 lb chinook.  Had four takes just north of the rock in the early morning trolling for salmon with herring.  Then hooked into the chinook.  The salmon seemed to vacate the area once the sun came up.  Not willing to travel out to where the dorys were (250-300 fow) I decided to bottom fish for a while.  The south wind really kicked up and I found it tough to get a good drift but found some shelter behind the rock with uplandsandpiper.  It was pretty slow until I found a ledge and got a keeper ling and cabby on back to back drifts which ended my day.  It was cool mtg monkey fist and upland sandpiper out there today.

Death toll:  1 nook, 1 cabby, 1 ling, 4 rock

No salmon love for me today, but I threw back 4 cabbies and a black rock fish, kept a ling.
I was told to bring home red fleshed fish.
Lots of folks out today, good to be able to put faces to names.

Nice haul! Way to cover the spectrum.
