I advise you go to any local stores that carry kokatat drysuit and try them on.  I almost ordered medium size according to their chart but ended up being one size short.

I'm not endorsing this store but I bought my Hydrus 3L SuperNova Angler Paddling Suit with outdoorplay dot com.  You can become a member and get 20% on all products or wait when they have 25% sale every quarter.

Good luck.

Whatever kind of drysuit you choose, buy one which is big enough to wear over about four layers of clothing.  The purpose of a drysuit is not to provide you with a sleek and stylish body profile.  The purpose of a drysuit is to keep you warm and dry even in really cold and inclement conditions.  Even if you get dumped out of your kayak in the surf when it is snowing and then you get washed out into the ocean for an hour.  So when you go to try on a dry suit, bring many layers of clothing.  Put on those layers, and make sure you can get your legs, shoulders, and head into the drysuit with little struggle even when wearing all those layers.  Most of the time you won't be wearing all those layers, and the drysuit will be a bit loose.  Big deal.  If you want to look stylish when having fun, don't take up kayak fishing.  Stick to golf.

I bought my boat from them there good people and I have heard that they stand behind what they sell. They run the shop out of there garage and have a tub you can try it out in if you want to get wet with it on.

I own the Kokatat Angler Dry suit and can't figure out why I didn't do it sooner.  I've done a couple Neah Bay trips in tight neoprene waders (crossing my fingers I never went overboard).  Besides protecting you from dying, they also do a great job at keeping you warm in our drizzle NW weather.

+1 Kayak Academy and their staff.  As a Pro Team member, I know how they stand behind their products.  Everything is tested and made in CA.

+1 on the kokata hydrus 3L. I used to have the tropos supernova which worked great. But the hydrus is easier to get into, has heavier fabric where needed. Highly recommend.
