I'm still holding out hope that a big rainbow has been watching for my line.

I've not floated it on a yak before...but it's such a simple float, I'd like to do it this fall still. Anyone have a desire to float it? Problem is, at least for my boat, I'll need to wear about 10 layers to keep my bum warm. But I have that.

It's super simple float. I haven't used them on the middle but take plugs.  You'll stay warm while staying in the fish zone for a while at least.  It's just a matter of putting in the time!

If I can talk Carlos Danger into it, I'm up for this...  I'd want to use the tandem IK, put him with a paddle up front and give me and my fly rod the back end. Can't do it on Monday, though, due to prior commitment. My fly box would be full of beady-eyed sculpins, articulated flesh flies and lots of washed-out looking beads.

I'll let you know what the mister has to say.

Awesome AKFishergal! If we were able to do a Tuesday, I can probably get my bro-in-law to go too. I was thinking of spending some time trying to go upstream in the football field area and around super-hole. Of course...that's b/c those are the two locations I know of for better chances.

Uuq says it's just too cold for her to go out...plus, she's not into fishing beads and she's not into "catch/release" fishing. "What's the point if you aren't going to eat it?" Pssshhh. My practical, native, village girl.

Kard, We saw guys fishing with plugs out there. I've not done that here. I used to use surface plugs for smallmouth in DC...I'll have to research. Thanks for the tip.
