Writing an article. What's the best Seattle store for kayak anglers?

We don't really have a "kayak angler's shop".  You usually have to go to a bunch of places to get what you need.  I frequent Outdoor Emporium for many of may kayak fishing gear and accessories.  They just started carrying RAM and they have Scotty along with all the fishing gear you could ever need.

Then you have to order things like game clips online,  because most dive shops don't carry them in our aquatic park divers zone.

I think you're going to get the same answer.

Anyone want to start a kayak fishing shop in the Seattle area?   ;)

I'd drive to Portland or Hood River.  Good selection and you'll make your gas money back with sales tax savings. I know kayak shed in Hood River will let you demo boats.  I think NA will too but I'm not sure.

I'd give a shout out to Mountain 2 Sound. They are supporting some of the Washington Tourneys and show an interest in growing the sport. The carry the Johnson line of boats and are great people.
Please do not mention Hobie Cats NW as I have been less than thrilled with their level of customer support.

I got Next Adventure, Kayak Shed, and Waxer's (Coos Bay) on the list. All of them will let you demo boats. Thanks for the tip Fungunnin!

What about Kayak Academy?  I haven't been in there, but did consider buying a drysuit from them until ODP provided a 20% off coupon which made a new suit only a few $$ more than the used demo/rental suit at KA.  But they seemed to have a lot of stuff.  Just maybe not as geared towards fishing per se.

Thought about it many times.
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

+1 Greg Whittaker at M2S has been a great supporter for our WA tournaments.

I stopped in at Kayak Academy a couple of weeks ago and picked up a Kokotat Hydrus Angler dry suit and some other gear.  They had quite a bit of stuff, and seemed real knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with.  Only been there the one time though, so my experience with them is limited.
