Big Island Hawaii fishing

Heading to HI for winter holiday. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations for yak fishing there? We have 2 weeks, and we'd like to fish for a handful of days.

Can rent kayaks from Plenty Pupule kayaks in Kona. Plenty of easy beach launches in generally very calm water on the west (kona) side. Trolling plugs like Yo-zuri crystal minnows or x-raps will catch reef fish inside, and the occasional pelagic in deeper waters. If you're going to be on the east (Hilo) side, I've got a loaner boat and gear you'd be welcome to take out. If you can make it over to Hilo on the weekend, I'd be happy to take you out if the weather cooperates.

Just decided to head to Kona in March.  I had found P&P as well and planned to do a week rental.  Aquahunters is a great resource if you haven't found them already.  I'm waiting for my account to be approved to I can start searching, but there's some good info here and there.

Jonah, do you know any kayak fishermen in the Kona area?  The kind that like to fish with company?  I'm going to rent a kayak, and bring my own gear.  You're advice about the CM's is consistent with what I've read so far...will definitely be ordering.  What size do you recommend?
