Lol.  Hopefully the title doesn't get me banned.  haha.  I don't ever recall saying that line but somehow I am quoted as saying "I am a perverted Fishing addict".  Funny really, but also a lesson that media doesn't often quote you exactly the way you would want.  haha.

Still pushing the kayak fishing agenda and got picked up by the State's largest Newspaper. Another lesson was the front cover picture is the THIRD time they have used that pic this year.  The difference between that pic and all the pics I have...it was taken with a nice DSLR.  there is a market for high resolution quality pics.  I was going to pick up an extra gopro for my personal Christmas Gift, but I think I may go with the Pentax weather proof DSLR.  That has a chance to pay back the investment versus youtube payouts which are pretty low.  haha.  The article on the internet:

I think this is a good lesson on dealing with the media.  Toi make a big deal out of this would be a mistake in my opinion as it simply draws more attention.  But I couldn't believe I would ever say something like that but in a way I did. BUT it wasn't a quote as he implied.  I wrote in an email to him:

"I'll give it a go at least one more time.  In a perverted fishing addict kind of way, I hope I don't catch one and just call it a year until the March King derby.  But if I do, I have this sort of informal goal to catch a king in as many months out of the year as possible.  Consecutive months would be even better.  January through March then July August would be the hard months I think. "

The above email got twisted into:
“I have this sort of informal goal to catch a king in as many months out of the year as possible,” said Tsukada, who labels himself “a perverted fishing addict.”

So just a heads up. I have been doing this media thing for a while now for work.  I let my guard down for a second and this is what can happen!  I am still laughing but it's good to take note!!!

You are one of the biggest producers of high quality fish porn that leaves the viewer drooling with jaws agape. 😊

If it bugs you Rudy send a nice email. Nobody reads the paper anyway, but they can re-word the online edition which will have a much longer shelf life.

All I know is that I opened the newspaper this morning and a huge smile spread across my face to see your mug staring back. Happy Holidays! Catch more kings!

Awesome Rudy!  I wonder if I can get a cheap ticket this time of year.  I bet the water is warm--at least compared to the air temps.
