Nope, Multnomah Channel (technically the Willamette River).

The water is up a couple feet and it seems a bit of the Columbia fishery has moved into the channel.

I fished from 6 am - 10 am for nadda.  Nanook showed up sometime closer to 8 am and also got nadda.  I didn't see a single net fly by any of the 30 or so power boats either.   I did feel pretty confident that my herring was nice and brined, spinning properly on a well tied rig, fished in the right area.  Compare that to my attempts last year and I think that's progress, but my springer count is still zero.

An interesting thing happens when you fish out of a yellow Trident 13 out of the Gilbert River Boat Ramp.... for some reason you get recognized and everyone compliments you on the salmon they saw you catch last week or  a few weeks ago.   I think half of my interactions with power boats this morning went something like " Oh, no.. that was my friend.. he has the same kayak."   I should have just ran with it, posed for photos and signed autographs.
