Did a little afternoon fishing yesterday at Offutt, and almost got skunked.  Here was my 'one more cast' at the ramp.  I have 19" marked on my paddle as a quick ruler, and he had a few on that, I'd guess 22" roughly?

Still no luck with them dang brookies though.  Even made it out to leech last weekend (almost half the ice is out) and walked the yak over the barrier...

Saltsailor ad I must have just missed you yesterday! We were there from roughly 8-1. We both picked up 3# fish and SS also got one standard 11" bow as well. For brookies in Offutt, concentrate in the far west corner where the lake comes to a point. Most of the big bows tend to hang out near the lily pad bed lining the east bank.

Miss you by maybe an hour?  I was getting to the ramp right around 2pm, stayed for just a couple of hours.  I'm there more, and more often, as this lake seems a little less bananas than American.  Views of the mountain are nice also.  If you see an old 'Mango' colored Wilderness systems, that's me...

Thanks for the tip, I have heard about that 'point' area for the brookies there, and tried it a couple of times.  It's 'operator error' as far as that goes.  Frustrating, as I could see them rising.  Last time I was there early, didn't have any dries they'd even look at...  Just didn't have the 'hatch' dialed in, I tried using the same nymphs the 'bows wanted, but no takers.  Grabbed a few 00 spinners and may try them instead.

Somewhat of a transplant, I've only been in WA since spring of '13 and didn't really have a trout fishery to speak of before that.  Trying to maximize my experience on a variety of new species while the opportunity is here.  It's tons of fun learning about new fisheries though.

Let me know when you're going next. I live about 8 miles from there, so schedule depending I might join you.
