Anybody still trying to go after some blackmouth? I will be going out this weekend for then. I have some new spoons to try out that imitate candlefish.

When you say candlefish are you referring to sandlances?

John Martinis has been reporting some pretty good blackmouth fishing still.

Yep. The names are interchangeable around here.

Ahh... 

Sandlances are the main forage here fish for the most of the season.  I have done great using the Silverhorde needlefish hoochies (thinner than regular hoochies).  I like the chrome silver horde coho killer.  Also I have tied up a few mylar tube flies that have worked grt behind a dodger.





My self tied sand lance imitation...work in progress but its caught some fish.
