My Maiden Voyage Tomorrow

I am taking the USS Floating Banana out for her maiden voyage tomorrow to Hagg Lake.  I have her all geared up and ready to go.

Have fun and let us know how the "a-peel" is on that banana it looks slick.

I definitely will.  Hopefully I get some fishing in and get to rub some fish slime on her...

you can't bring a banana on a boat, but what if the boat.................. IS the banana?!?

First things first......

Drysuit seal check + reentry practice, then fishing.   

Maybe we'll have some catching thrown in there as well. 

Hey, did you get your annual Hagg parking permit, and invasive species permit yet?

I didn't get my parking permit yet. 

How about fishing first then reentry drills, otherwise i may be too tired to fish...  you remember the last time...  😂

The only sneaker i have to worry about is INSAYN coming up beside me and flipping my kayak.   

 

Everything went well today.  The boat performed well.  The dry suit worked (Once I remembered to close the escape hatch.  LOL.)   I got one fish to the boat and missed probably 4 or 5 others.  Two I lost to bad line (or bad knots).  It was interesting seeing all of the power boaters out there looking at us like we were crazy as we silently slipped in between them.  Unfortunately I didn't bring a camera with me so I don't have any pics or video.
I can't wait to go again!

Thanks Mojo.  I will keep you in mind when I am ready.  With just starting out I want to stick to lakes and rivers for awhile...

That's cool I like trout fishing hear of lost lake in Clatsop county? Above spruce run camp grounds...... Also Tillamook bay is a kitten on a "morning" day ... Low tide in the morning..
