I paddled into a big pod of them this morning on the lower Columbia. They were popping up all over the place within 30-40 yards or so, and there was at least one really big boy snorting and barking. It made it hard to fish for sure, looking to see where the next one would show itself.

Been followed around by a few, South Sound seemed to have more than usual this winter.  Has anyone ever tried painting their boat like an Orca?  I thought I remembered hearing some Salmon Farms using orca decoys to keep those pesky critters at bay.  Maybe it was more seal focused...  I wonder if an Orca Colored Kayak would make em think twice?

Having a real Orca adopt your ass might be just as bad.
