So I am still new to all this but 3.5 at 14 seconds sounds decent to me. Am I missing something as I read it though?

That's doable in my book as long as the wind isn't strong in the morning. I got too much going on right now to make it but my rule of thumb is wave height must be less then half the seconds apart ( 5-10,2-4) and I typically won't go out if it's over 6 ft waves. I think I typed that out???? Go early and look if it's not doable hit one of the bay's or river as a back up plan. ALWAYS have a back up plan.

Keep in mind that there is a significant low tide in the morning which will cause quite a bit of water movement around for most of the day, wherever you might go.
"A venturesome minority will always be eager to get off on their own,
and no obstacle should be placed in their path;
let them take risk, for God sake, let them get lost, sun burnt, stranded, drowned,
eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches -
that is the right and privilege of any free American."

If I don't go to depoe bay, my backup plan is yaquina bay. Does anyone have suggest on where to go in depoe bay? Never been there yet.

So I believe my problem was that I was looking at the swell website on my phone and it wouldn't give me the secondary swells for some reason. it changed a bit more and it looks like 2 of the 3 swells are on my side and the wind is about 7mph up to 11. is that to stong of a wind. I do have a anchor if I need it.

once again thanks for all the help guys!

In my opinion, if the wind is strong enough that you think an anchor is necessary, I would not go out.  I do not know of anyone that would/has anchored in the ocean.  I would hate to be snagged on the bottom as a big wave came through and you are not covering ground and getting your bait in front of as many fish as possible.  Things could get ugly fast.  As for 3.5 at 14, that sounds beautiful until you factor in the 6.5 at 7s secondary swell coming from a different direction.  The picture has the web address for this information.  I have the Cape Kiwanda one in my bookmarks bar so the necessary info is one click away.
