Me and my brother-in-law hit a lake out in the sand dunes on Friday. The weather wasn't looking good but he was excited about getting to fish with me. We had to really hunt for the fish but they came. The biggest one went a hair over 20" and about 4-1/2lbs. My brother-in-law was expecting fish in the 8-10'' range not 18 to 20". Then I made the commit that there are way bigger fish out here in this untapped part of the world, like fish up to 10lbs. and bigger.

Nice Fish!

But I've got to ask... what's the hairbrush for (in the last pic)?
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

A lot of my flies are made with yak hair which after using awhile and fish attacks the fly it's one really big rats nest, especially if they have teeth. This way I can comb the tangles out and make my fly sexy for the fish.

Basstastic! You just don't see any really big bass in western Washington to often!

That's some good fishing!  I've read a lot about that fishery haven't yet had the chance to check it out in person.  One of these days....

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain
