Hi Fellow Anglers - My name is Ed Elefante and I will be moving up to Caldwell, Idaho from Phoenix Arizona. I joined this group to gain some knowledge on Kayak fishing in the area. I am an avid kayak angler for bass and trout in Arizona. I created a Facebook Group called Arizona Kayak And Motorless Fishing with over 900 members. I searched Facebook for Kayak Groups in Idaho and there really isn't one so I formed one for the state as well :-)  It's called the Idaho Kayak and Motorless Anglers group. It will cater to kayak, canoe, float tube, pontoon and shore anglers :-)  I am also an Event Coordinator for the Heroes on The Water - Arizona Chapter and I noticed Idaho does not have one. I will be vacating my position once I move up north :-(  Maybe once I get settled down in Caldwell, and I get some time on the waters up there, I will possibly put a HOW Idaho Chapter together. I was also involved in putting together Kayak Fishing tournaments for our state Paddle Fest events for the past 6 years. I gave seminars on the sport as well. I can't wait to learn the waters in the Idaho area. Any helpful information would be appreciated :-) Tight Lines and stay safe out there!!!

Welcome to the NW Ed. You had to move that far to get away from Phil?

My wife's family is from Caldwell and I've thought the Snake River in that area looks pretty fishy. Lots of good water to explore! Welcome to the NW!

Thanks, Noah! I read there are spots on the Snake River to get a kayak on. I will find out when I move up there!!!  Can't wait.

Greetings, Ed!  More self-propelled fishing in Idaho has got to be a good thing.  I'm just getting started up in the northern end of the state, but looking forward to making it down south as well!

Good to hear! I also started a FB Page - Idaho Kayak and Motorless Anglers group, so we can all share our adventures, tips, humor, etc. Tight lines! Can't wait to hear about some of your fishing trips up north too!
