We're winding up this trip, going to Gold Hill for a Rogue river drift boat trip. Hope Ihave better luck there than I have down here. Fished 9 of the 11days and caught one small Jack. We want to thank alotof people, Mark Collet, Spot' mojo Jojo, Dana Yaksurf and aspecial thanks to Roy and Dude for the great job on the AOTD. I have really enjoyed the many days on the water up here over the years and I will miss the trips and the great people on this Forum. Thank Ya'll and if for  some reason you wind up in deep south texas we can fish again were I have some idea what I'm doing and I can catch a few fish. Best to all of you. Art and Vicki Hilts

Take care my friend!  It's been my pleasure to fish and swap stories with you.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

It has been great to get to know you Art and Vicky.

Art, I will miss fishing with you, your determination is second to none and I wish you could have taken more Salmon home with you. I'm glad you at least got to catch one on my home waters. I will never forget watching and filming you catch that second place ORC cabby on your first trip to Oregon. You are a great guy and I could only hope to be fishing as hard as you when I get to my 70's. You are truly an inspiration to a lot of people!

Take care my friend, and I have a feeling we will be fishing together  again sometime...

   Happy Trails Art and Vicki,

I feel honored to have spent some time with you Art. Not only fishing but our time together going to and from the water as well as at my house. You are welcome back anytime that you can make it. My door will always be open sir.

I do wish that any and all of us would have gotten you into some salmon . I know you had that short encounter out in Willapa Bay. But it was a little too short. Damhik. At least we tried.
You a man to be admired and respected in so many ways. My hat is off to you. And I am so glad to call you friend.
Safe travels and may the wind be ever at your back.

  Mark Collett
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Take care , my fellow Texan. Though it wasn't in the cards for us to meet on your trips up, someday I might make it home....
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.
